Harry Lee Brown, Jr.

Harry Lee Brown, Jr., age 96, passed away June 23, 2016.    

He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret B. McReynolds and the late Alice L. (nee Hight); dearest father of Janette B. Steiner (James T., deceased) and the late Nanette L. Brown; stepfather of Katherine A. Hight of California and the late Stephen C. Hight; dear brother of the late Margery Norman (Wayne). 

Harry proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946. He had a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received several patents pertaining to flight control, and was a lifelong member of ASME. 

Harry earned his private pilot’s license and was a member of the AOPA. He was an animal lover and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. 

Harry had been a California resident for many years, before moving to Cleveland in 1995. He became a devoted fan of the Cleveland sports teams and the Cleveland Orchestra. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The family held services in Cleveland, Ohio.
