Cottonwood Fire, October 16, 2016

The thousands of acres from roughly southwest of Cottonwood, to north of Interstate 90, and to east of the Cottonwood Field Station is now a skyline of black ash. The devastation, even as great as it is, would be far greater if not for 300 firefighters, most of them volunteers, attacking the Oct. 16, 2016, blaze.
