Nola Ann Iverson Price

Nola Ann Iverson Price, age 88 passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Henderson, Nev. She is survived by son Rodney, wife Marnie and their children Jason, Tyler and Jenna of Oregon, and daughter Andrea and husband David of Nevada. Nola Ann was born May 23, 1936, in Pierre, S.D. and grew up in Murdo, S.D. where she developed lifelong friendships as well as developing a love of reading, music and basketball.
After graduating from Murdo High School in 1954, she also graduated from Huron College in 1958 and earned a MA degree in Library Science from the University of Denver in 1959. Nola and Peg Peterson, a friend from Huron College, took jobs in Kansas City and then decided to move to Pocatello. Nola worked as a reference librarian at Idaho State College, now Idaho State University. She met Joseph Price on campus, and they were married in 1962 for 47 years until Joe's death in 2009. Nola worked for Alpha Engineering for ten years then returned to ISU library, retiring in 2001. She continued reading, visiting family and grandkids and meeting up with her childhood friends, Audrey Sue, Bobby Lou and Joyce. She was active in AAUW and ISU Faculty Womens Club, along with United Methodist Women and other church activities. After Joe passed away, she eventually moved to Henderson, Nev. to live with Andrea and David.
A memorial will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pocatello United Methodist Church, 200 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, with a light luncheon following at the church. In leu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to the Pocatello United Methodist Church roof fund https://www.pocatelloumc.org or to a charity of your choice in Nola's name.
