William “Larry” Henderson

William “Larry” Henderson passed away at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas on August 14, 2024, at the age of 83.
He is survived by his sister Sarah Kay Walker of Shamrock, Texas, his brother Jerry Henderson of Valentine, Nebraska, his daughter Karrie (Steve) Bloemendaal of Rapid City, South Dakota, his daughter Tonia (Tejay) Fischer of Rapid City, South Dakota their mother Kay (Rod) Fuhrer of Spearfish, South Dakota, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog “Boo”.
Larry lived a full life managing many construction sites in many different states, preparing oil rig sites, and in his earlier years rodeoing, trucking, and ranching. His passion remained rodeo until the very end, always watching the Cowboy Channel and following current cowboys and cowgirls throughout the year. He also was never opposed to betting with anyone on anything.  He also enjoyed taking Boo for rides in the “Boomobile” to Arp to feed fish. In all his travels around the United States he made many lifetime friends and created colorful memories and stories he loved to share.
A memorial service was held in Kilgore, Texas on August 20, 2024, from 2 to 4pm at Rader Funeral Home. A memorial and burial service was held in Wheeler, Texas on Thursday August 22, 2024, starting at 10AM. Arrangements by Robertson Funeral Home in Wheeler.
