It is with great sadness that the family of Russel Alan Holloway, age 58, announce that he passed away on April 27, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Russ was born October 20, 1959 in Rapid City, SD to Jim and Phyllis (Ehli) Holloway.
Russ had a free spirit, a sense of humor and passion for adventure which allowed him to enjoy times spent on a motorcycle while building relationships and lifetime friendships with extended family and friends. Russ never met a stranger.
He honored his last name by wearing it proudly. Cooking might have been his passion because he often gravitated back to that as his career. Alzada, Montana won his heart and he moved there in 2002 when he fell in love with Diane Turko.
He is survived by the love of his life Diane Turko, and brothers Jim (Iverne) Holloway, Dan (Jeri) Holloway, Don (Pam) Holloway, Frank Halloran and sister Sherry (Scott) Nelson.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents and sister Janice (Gerald) Halloran.
