Grace Elizabeth Jacks

Grace Elizabeth Jacks of Carrollton, Texas, went to be with her Lord Jesus on January 8, 2022, at 84. She was born to Adam and Elizabeth (Wagner) Brockel in Bison, South Dakota, in September 1937. Grace’s grandparents, Fred and Fredrika Wagner, were proud immigrants from Odessa, Russia, who settled in South Dakota.

Grace married Simmie M. Jacks on June 25, 1982, in San Antonio, Texas. They were married 40 years. She was a dedicated Christian, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include daughters Melody McNulty and husband Gregory of Maryland, Betty Jo Cook and husband Richard of Orlando, Florida; son David Eickelman and wife Dominique of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren Brittany, Matthew, Ashley, and Jason; great-grandchildren Beatrice, Aurelia, and Zoie; sister Judy Hawley and husband Kermit of Kingwood, West Virginia; nephew Mark Harder of Rapid City, SD.

We want to thank all at Sonoma House, who have helped many days.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, siblings Delores Kaubisch and Ruth Brockel, South Dakota.

A graveside service is being planned.
