Garry N. Huddleston

Garry Neal Huddleston (Hudd), 71, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away on May 26, 2015 after a long battle with renal disease.
Garry was born in Tacoma, Wa. The Huddleston family moved to Wall, S.D., in the summer of 1961. Garry’s profession consisted of Eyewitness Newscaster in Rapid City, Radio Disc Jockey in Minnesota and sales. He retired in 2006.
When asked to describe our beloved father and brother, words such as proud, ornery, independent, impatient, stubborn, feisty, go-getter, honest, handsome and knowledgeable especially about rock-n-roll trivia were commonly spoken. Garry’s loved ones are proud of him and celebrate his over thirty years of sobriety.
Garry was an avid fan of music, old westerns, Andy Griffith Show and Laurel and Hardy. You could hear his exploding laughter many times. He loved watching college basketball and football, but it was his beloved Minnesota Twins he enjoyed the most and never missed watching a game.
Garry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ezra and Arla Huddleston; maternal grandparents, Louis and Charlotte Haffner; and parents, Edwin (Sandy) and Norma Huddleston.
Garry is survived by and was blessed with three daughters and one son: Tamora Stevens of Dallas, Ga., Stephanie Buron of Castle Rock, Colo., Jessica Castillo and son-in-law Daniel Castillo of Parker, Colo., and Eddwin (Eddie) Huddleston and daughter-in law Savannah Russell Huddleston of Tucson, Ariz. He has eight beautiful grandchildren with one more to arrive in August.
Garry’s surviving siblings are Larry Huddleston and sister-in-law Nelida Huddleston of Tacoma, Wa, Jeanne Walsh and brother-in-law Dan Walsh of Martinsburg, W. Va., Joyce Willocks and brother-in-law Stan Willocks of Johnson City, Tenn. and Janis Daudt and brother-in-law Ken Daudt of Alta Loma, Calif.; along with many nieces and nephews.
We shall miss our dear dad, grandpa, brother and uncle very much. Lovingly shared!
