Alice Harvey

Alice Harvey, age 83, of Yankton, formerly of Philip, died Sunday, April 1, 2018, at her daughter's home in Yankton.
Alice Marie Fetter was born April 10, 1934, at home north of Martin, the daughter of Orvill and Bernice (Kimball) Fetter. She attended a one-room school house in Patricia, (Bennett County) S.D.
At the age of 18, she was married to Earnest L. Frink in Martin at McPherson's Beauty Shop with Hazel Baker as her witness. They lived in Patricia, until they moved to the Eddie Seidler ranch south of Kadoka. From 1958 until 1963 they lived on the George Olson place. In 1963, they moved to Kadoka. Her husband Earnest preceded her in death in 1981.
Alice was united in marriage to Kenneth “Catfish” Harvey July 2, 1988, in Kadoka. They made their home in Interior until moving to Philip in 2001. Kenneth preceded her in death on May 15, 2004. Alice continued to make her home in Philip until moving to Yankton in 2006.
Alice was a longtime member of the Kadoka Lions Club, the Rebeccah Lodge, and the Presbyterian churches of Kadoka, Interior, and Philip.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Kehrer, Port Charlotte, Fla., and Patty Squyres, Yankton; six grandchildren, Kathy Wright, Sonja Johnson, Earnest James “EJ” Frink, Erik Konold, Rebekka Catherwood and Travis Frink; 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; two brothers Jim Fetter, Martin and Jack Fetter, Hay Springs Neb.; two sisters Opal Hopper, Merriman, Neb., and Judy Tallman,  Yuma Ariz./Rapid City; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her first husband, Earnest Frink, and her second husband Kenneth “Catfish” Harvey, Alice was preceded in death by a son, Larry Frink, in 1983; a granddaughter, Misty Hamar, in 2017; her parents, and two brothers, John and Roy “Shorty” Fetter.
Services are at the United Church, 101 South Howard Ave, Philip, Friday, April 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at the Martin Community Cemetery that afternoon.
Arrangements are with the Rush Funeral Home of Philip.
