Terry D. Burmood

Terry Burmood, age 58, Kadoka, S.D., died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at his home.

 

Terry Dean Burmood was born Nov. 11, 1959, in Alvion, Neb. He grew up in Columbus, Neb., where he attended school.

 

After his education, he spent a lot of time in Omaha, Neb. He was a very talented carpenter, roofer, and handyman. In the early 2000s, he worked on the ranch for his niece and her husband, Jackie and Jim Herber.

Terry’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and cooking.

 

Survivors include two sons, Joe Burmood, Kennard, Neb., and Adam Koy Otto; two daughters, Tara Burmood, Omaha, Neb., and Samantha Burmood; five grandchildren; one sister, Susan Jordan, Rapid City; one niece, Jackie Herber Webb, Washington, D.C.; a special cousin, Gary and Linda Burmood, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russ and Delois (Fletcher) Burmood.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Gateway Apartments in Kadoka.
