4,000 miles, two wheels, one cause

Twenty bicyclists travelling in the Illini 4000 arrived safely at the Murdo Auditorium on Monday, July 4. Murdo served as the near halfway point on the group’s biking journey across America. Students from Ill., Wis.., China and India are currently making a trek across the country to research, raise funds and to support the fight against cancer. Participants left New York City on May 29 and with an average of 70 miles per day, plan to arrive at the Golden Gate Bridge on August 7. The Illini 4000 group enjoyed their overnight stay and meal at the Murdo Auditorium. With eyes set to San Fransisco, they departed Murdo on the morning of July 5 with 34 days of travel to go!
