Xtreme Bulls Tour to be part of BHSS
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Xtreme Bulls Tour presented by B&W Trailer Hitches rides into 2009 with a national schedule that will continue to bring the excitement of PRCA bull riding to millions of fans with national coverage on network television, according to Winnercomm President Marc Kidd, who made the announcement during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas last December.
The 2009 tour will feature 10 events scheduled throughout the year across the United States. The first Xtreme Bulls Tour stop in 2009, will be in Rapid City, January 30 and 31 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in conjunction with the Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo. The event will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2.
Forty riders are signed up for the BHSS event. Five South Dakota cowboys, Jesse Bail, Camp Crook, Brian Curtis, Belle Fourche, Ardie Maier, Timber Lake, Garrett Vig, Newell, and Charles Zoss, Forestburg, have entered the fray.
In 2009, the Xtreme Bulls Tour will have a combined purse of $535,000. Money earned on the Xtreme Bulls Tour counts toward PRCA World Standings, which determine Wrangler NFR qualifiers.
The 2009 schedule is as follows.

The September 5 to 6 events held Labor Day weekend in Ellensburg, WA, will serve as the Tour Finale. "It's appropriate that Ellensburg will be the location for the Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale in 2009 since the PRCA Xtreme Bulls program was initially hosted by the Ellensburg Rodeo Association in 2002" said Kidd. "The support of the Ellensburg committee, the community and the many fans from across the state of Washington will make this an exciting weekend".
"Our 2008 champ, Chance Smart, will return to lead a terrific group of bull riders in the 2009 tour," said Donnie Gay, eight time world champion bull rider and TV analyst. "The Xtreme Bulls is such a good thing for these guys. It's a great time to be a bull rider. I love the format, and I know for a fact these guys love the format."
