Timothy A. Plant

Memorial services were held Monday, January 21, at the First Lutheran Church in Wall, with Pastor Monty Dell officiating.

Timothy Allen Plant was born December 15, 1976, the son of Dale and Marilyn (Geigle) Plant. He was born in Cactus Flat, SD, which later earned him the nickname "Cactus". He grew up and received his education in the Wall area, From the word go, Tim was a very giving person, and would never allow someone to take advantage of someone else. He valued possessions in a unique way, which was to give to those who needed them, rather than to keep for himself.
After his school years, Tim worked as a carpenter in the Rapid City and Wall area, a trade he truly enjoyed. In the fall of 2000, Tim was diagnosed with cancer, which he battled the rest of his life. He would look forward to the times that his health allowed him to continue carpentry work, as well as his other enjoyments, camping, hunting, and fishing. As a kid growing up, Tim enjoyed horseback riding on the prairie of South Dakota, and tried his best to keep a wide variety of pets.
Grateful for having shared his life include his special friend, Stacey Daly of Wall; his mother, and step-father, Marilyn and Jef Wilsey of Creighton; his daughter, Shanda Enriquez of Wall; his brother, Donnie Plant and his wife, Penny, of Rapid City; his sister, Nancy Tjaden and her daughter, Shanea, of Port Orchard, WA; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Randolph and her husband, Dale, of Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
When his mother married Jef Wilsey, Tim inherited a whole other set of family, who thought the world of Tim. Tim touched their lives in a very special way, and was the one that taught Jef to say "I love you."
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Dale Edwin Plant in 2001; his maternal grandfather, Edward Geigle; and his paternal grandparents, James and Maude (Parker) Plant.
A memorial is established.
Arrangements are with the Rush Funeral Chapel of Wall.
