Scotties sweep Dupree 3-0

The Philip Lady Scotties traveled to Dupree to challenge the Tigers Saturday, October 2.

After a disheartening home loss to the Lemmon Cowgirls the previous Thursday, the Scotties came back with a vengeance. Not only did the varsity team win 3-0, but the junior varsity won 2-0 and the "C" squad also won 2-1.

The varsity first played two fairly easy games with final scores of 25-14 and 25-20. The Scotties held off a strong come-back try by the Tigers in an extended play game that went to Philip 26-24. The Scotties currently stand with a season record of 12-7.

The junior varsity won its game with a close 25-23 and its second with a somewhat easier 25-17. Their season record is now 8-2.

The Philip "C" team lost its first game 21-25. They then walked away with the second game, 25-11. The third went into extended play, ending 16-14 for a tight win for the Scotties.
