The Scotties traveled to Lead on Monday, May 7, for the Mountain West Invitational Meet.

Philip had two athletes qualify for state in the boy's discus. Alex Moos took first place with a distance of 141 feet and five inches, while Casey Elshere took third with 140 feet even. Elshere also took first place in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.92 seconds.

"Overall, we did have some respectable performances," said head coach Jerry Rhodes. "Hopefully we are on target to have some peak performances by regional time. We just need to do a little polishing on relays, etc."
