Seventh and eighth grade members of the Philip Scotties track and field team traveled to Lyman, Friday, May 6, to compete in the Bob King Boys Invitational Track Meet.

"We had a good day with at least eight personal bests," said Philip coach Tom Parquet. "Our last junior high meet will be this Friday, May 13, in Kadoka and the meet will start at 9:00 a.m. MT. This will be a combined junior high and varsity Western Great Plains Conference meet."

Joel Milton, Lyman track coach and coordinator of the event, said, "I was really impressed with the quality of athletes at the track meet. All ten schools in attendance were well represented and it looks like the future of track in the area is bright."
