Quilts of all kinds needed for Scotty Philip Memorial Quilt Show
As part of the Historic Bad River Trail Scotty Philip Memorial Ride send-off activities July 15-17, a quilt show will be held at the Philip High School gymnasium.
The Philip hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Quilts will also be displayed in the Ft. Pierre/Pierre area July 22-24. Transportation to and from there will be provided. Anyone wanting to exhibit their quilts should register by July 9.
"We are accepting new quilts, antique or heirloom quilts, any artwork you would like to exhibit, of special interest would be pieces done by local artists," said Philip quilt show coordinator Wesley Cvach. "Also will find room to exhibit antiques that could be displayed for the enjoyment of people attending the quilt show. Craft and handmade booths can also display goods to sell if interested please call 701-567-3773. Retail booths may also call for set up and sale times."
