Philp Scotties beat Lower Brule Sioux 87-77
The Philip Scotties boys' basketball team traveled to White River on Saturday, January 9, to compete against the Lower Brule Sioux in the White River Classic Basketball Tournament.

"We were tired coming off the Jones County game, and it showed for a half," said Philip head coach Michael Baer. "We fought back to take a lead at half, then held it through the third quarter. We made a nice run to start the fourth by picking up our defense. Lower Brule got hot from the three point line and made it close at the end. We had a total team effort with six players scoring double digits, and by shooting 75 percent from the free throw line."
