Philip Scottie boys stopped by Chiefs in District Tourney
The Philip Scottie boys simply could not outrun the Crazy Horse Chiefs in the first round of District 13B Basketball Tournament play at White River.
Philip was out scored by Crazy Horse 88-105 in a high scoring game Monday night, February 26.
The score was close before the Chiefs increased the tempo on both defense and offense. Though Philip led 22-21 at the beginning of the second quarter, Crazy Horse went on an 18-32 shooting frenzy to take over a 40-53 lead at the half.
Casey Elshere led the Scotties with 24 points. Allen Hauk sank baskets totalling 20 points, James Williamson scored 17 and Nathan O'Dea added 10 points.
Philip closed out its season with a 6-13 mark.
Crazy Horse advanced in the tournament with the win.
