The Philip boys seemingly did not begin their home game against the Lemmon Cowboys until the second quarter. After that, though, they claimed the game as their own. They won with a final score of 73-60.

The boys started out the Philip vs. Lemmon boys' and girls' double header on Friday, January 29. In the boys' first quarter, the Lemmon Cowboys more than doubled the Philip Scotties' score.

The Scotties began a come-back drive that came close to succeeding even before half-time. The third quarter saw Philip take over the lead. The rest of the second half belonged to the Philip Scotties.

"This was a big win for us, as we were without our leading scorer, Brandon O'Dea, and our leading rebounder, Jordan Hauk," said head coach Mike Baer. "Caleb Clements and Gunner Hook really stepped up for us. We have a week off now, and this win helped us to avoid two losses in a row for the first time this year."
