The Philip Scottie track and field team competed in the People's Market Relays at Kadoka Tuesday, April 27.

Attending schools were Philip, Kadoka Area, Wall, New Underwood, Faith, Lyman, Jones County, Dupree and Rapid City Christian.

For the boys, Karch Foley threw the discus 139 feet and two inches to claim first place. Casey Cvach ran the 100 meter dash in 11.5 seconds to earn first place. Jeff O'Connell took first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52 seconds even. In the 3200 meter run, William Coyle came in first with a time of 11 minutes and 22 seconds. Philip's 4x100 relay team won the event with a time of 45.20 seconds. The 4x400 meter relay team also took first, in a clocking of 3:33.00.

For the girls, Josie Guptill took first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.90 seconds. The 300 meter hurdles was won by Kaeley Fenhaus in a time of 48.20. Emily Schofield took first in the 3200 meter run in a time of 14:48. The 400 meter dash was won by Misty Johnson in 1:07. The 4x100 meter relay team claimed first place with a clocking of 53.60. The 4x400 relay team clocked a 4:28 to take first place.
