Philip Lady Scotties fall to #1 seeded Wall Eagles 2-3 in final regular season volleyball match

The Philip Lady Scotties traveled to Wall to face the Eagles on Thursday, October 29.

In their last regular season match, the Scotties were defeated by the Eagles 2-3, with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 20-25 and 13-15.

The evening was also a joint venture of the Philip High School and Wall High School student councils and volleyball teams in "Pack the Place Pink" volley for a cure. Audience members were encouraged to wear the color pink and to bring donations for breast cancer research. There was also a recognition of in memory and cancer survivors.

The Philip junior varsity fared no better against the Wall JV. The match ended 1-2, with two of the three sets going into extended play. The set scores were 31-29, 25-27, 9-15.

The Lady Scotties played at Wall on Tuesday, November 3, in the first rounds of the District 14B Tournament. Number three seeded Philip played against number six-seeded Rapid City Christian. The winner of that match will face number two seeded Edgemont at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5. The winner of that match will be in the finals at 7:00 p.m. in Wall on Friday, November 6. Volleyball regions will be in Winner on Tuesday, November 10.
