Paul A. "Al" Morgan

Paul Allen "Al" Morgan was born April 1, 1933, to Homer and Laura Morgan of Milesville, SD, where he grew up. On March 21, 2007, he passed into the arms of his Lord following several months of very poor health. He was nearly 74.

Allen attended high school in Pierre and Rapid City, SD.

On July 3, 1953, Allen was united in marriage to Lorraine "Lori" Clark of Philip, SD. The young couple moved to the East Coast where Allen served four years in the army.

Al and Lori moved back to Philip where Al worked as an electrician for Willis Drew for two years. They then moved to St. Paul, MN, where Al attended Bethel College Bible School. From there it was back to Rapid City, SD, Newcastle, WY, and to Billings, MT, in 1971, where Al worked as a factory rep for Midland Imp. and Vic West Steel.

In November of 2002, Al and Lori moved to Texas to be near their daughters' families. After 50 years together, Lori went to her Heavenly home on July 26, 2003.

In December of 2005, Al married Alice Latham of Montgomery, TX.

His happiest times were spent with his family and his work in the Wyoming oil fields. He especially enjoyed flying and climbing mountain trails.

Allen died in a hospital in Tyler, TX.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Homer Morgan; his first wife, Lori Morgan; and an infant son, Clark Homer Morgan.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Morgan of Philip, SD; his wife, Alice Morgan; two daughters, Lynn Kneedler and her husband, David, of Columbia Falls, MT, and Joni Runyan and her husband, James, of Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada; and grandsons, Austin, Nicholas and Trevor Runyan; five brothers, Gerald (Gladys), Phil (Nanette), Ed (Bonnie), Kent (Twila), and Keith (Norlene); two sisters, Connie (Bill) Parsons and Kyle Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews, step-children and step-grandchildren, all of whom will miss the man whose heart was as big as he was.

Funeral services were held at New Life Church on March 27, 2007, and burial was at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park in Billings, MT.
