"I'm looking forward to the balance of working in the community that I live in and having more opportunity to be with my family," said Mary Burnett about joining the First National Agency in Philip as a licensed insurance agent.

Joe Gittings, agency manager, said," We're excited to have Mary on board. We are looking forward to working with her for many years to come."

Burnett began her position October 18. She is now licensed for life, health, accident, property and casualty insurance. "It's a good thing to always continue to learn," said Burnett.

Burnett had been driving out of town to work for the past 17 years, first to Kadoka at Kadoka Telephone Company and then to Wall at Golden West.

"I'm excited to be with First National Agency. It's a wonderful opportunity for me to work in my hometown," said Burnett. "My family is excited too. Ethan, seven, had a big grin on his face and said, 'Mom, I think it's going to be great.' Keegan, 13, was happy, very happy. My husband, David, is as supportive as always. My boys are growing up so fast and you don't get that time back," said Burnett.

"I'm very happy with my decision. I have a passion for excellence in customer service, and I believe that is important in this line of work. I am bringing that with me," said Burnett.

The insurance agency office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. "I look forward to working with our customers and want you to know how important you are to us," said Burnett.
