Memorial services for Marilyn Ann Reynick, age 76, who died on December 10, 2013, at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington, Wyo., will be held at the Care Center for employees, friends and family on Thursday, December 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation and private family burial of the ashes will take place at a later date in Philip, S.D. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Marilyn’s memory to the Goshen Care Center.
She was born on November 26, 1937, in Philip, the fourth child of Charles and Elma (Pedersen) Reynick. She worked and lived on the family ranch 17 miles northwest of Philip. Growing up, Marilyn attended a rural school with her siblings and friends. In 1974, Marilyn relocated to Torrington. She began her new life there, making friends and working at the Goshen Care Center on the kitchen staff. Marilyn really enjoyed visiting with the elderly she served. Her hobbies included crocheting, cross-stitching, and gardening. She freely gave away crafts and time to family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Glenn Reynick of Columbia, Mo.; her sister, Ruth Bachmann of Crawford, Neb.; two nephews, Lance Bachmann of San Jose, Calif., and Craig Reynick of Boise, Idaho; and five nieces, Carol Marxsen of Lincoln, Neb., Kathy Storbeck of Crawford, Neb., Dawn Rowe of Hot Springs, Ginger Soumokil of Columbia, Mo., and Janna Reynick of Columbia, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene.
