Lyle Dean Haynes
Lyle Dean Haynes, 45, Martin, SD, died April 20, 2005, after losing a courageous battle against cancer.
Lyle Dean Haynes was born January 7, 1960 in Martin, SD, to William and Lucille Haynes. As a young boy, he lived with his family on a farm and ranch near LongValley, SD. Lyle graduated from Bennett Co. High School in 1978. He attended Laramie Wyoming Tech for auto body.
Lyle married Janelle Faye Kennedy on September 2, 1983. To this union was born a daughter, Allison Joyce, and a son, Austin William. Lyle lived and worked in the Bennett County area all of his life. He was a volunteer fireman for many years, and was an active member of the Bennett County Motorcycle Club. Lyle was currently employed as the Martin City Foreman.
Lyle lived his life with vitality and zest. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley, solo or with a group. He found countless hours of peace and contentment straddled upon its black leather seat. Lyle had a story telling ability that delighted all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Janelle; daughter, Allison; son, Austin; his parents, Williams and Bonnie Haynes, Meadow, and Lucille Haynes, LongValley; his brothers and sisters, Veryl (Sharlyn) Haynes, Bridgewater, Lynette (Darrel) Batie, Rapid City; Audrey Brooks, Rapid City; Kathleen (Merlon) Bochman, Union Center, Doug Haynes, Hot Springs, Don (Jolene) Haynes, Philip, Sarah (Bob) Hopkins, Pahrump, NV, Loren (Anna) Haynes, Martin; Doreen (Randy) Harter, Rapid City; nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the American Legion in Martin, SD.
A memorial has been established at the Security First Bank in Martin.
