Lady Scotties win at Ft. Pierre triangular

The Philip Lady Scotties competed in the Fort Pierre Triangular Volleyball Tournament Thursday, September 9.

The Philip ladies first faced-off against the Lyman Raiders. The match was won by Philip 3-2, but by the narrowest of margins without extended play. The Scotties won the match by just eight points total. The game scores were 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25 and 15-10.

Renee Thomas, head coach for Lyman, said, "Yes, it was a very fun match. My girls were very excited, even with the loss."

The Scottie junior varsity ran into difficulties against the Stanley County junior varsity. After winning the first game 25-19, Philip lost the next two 19-25 and 11-15. With this match 1-2 loss, the team now holds a season record of 2-2.
