Lady Scotties take all sets against New Underwood Tigers on Philip's Parents' Night

Lady Scottie hoopla ... After winning a point, the on-court team members celebrate with a cheer. In the match against the New Underwood Tigers, Philip won each set. The evening was also Parents’ Night, as well as “Dig it Pink” to bring awareness to breast cancer prevention and cure research.

Monday, October 26, brought Parents Night to the Philip High School armory, where the Lady Scotties took on the New Underwood Tigers. Philip won the varsity match 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-15. Philip's season record is now 26-6.

With Philip's junior varsity and "C" squad also sweeping their opponents, the Scotties did not lose a single set during the evening.

In recognition of breast cancer awareness, the evening competition was called a "Dig It Pink" volleyball match. Pink clothing abounded and miniture pink volley balls were for sale.

The Philip junior varsity won its match 2-0. The first set was an extended play ending 32-30. The second set ended 25-22. Their season record is 14-5.
