June Roby, age 57, of Boise, Idaho, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at her home in Boise.
June Loua Williams was born February 23, 1954, in Kadoka, S.D., the daughter of Virgil and Donna (Crowser) Williams. She grew up in Philip where she received her elementary education. She then attended Philip High School for three years, before she moved to Faith where she graduated from Faith High School in 1972.
She was united in marriage to Craig Hickenbotham at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Philip, and to this union were born two children, Jennifer and Cody. They made their home in Rosebud, Mont., where she worked as a beautician. In the late 1970s, her niece Carmen made her home with June, Craig and their children.
In the mid 1980s, the family moved to Kalispell, Mont., where she continued to work as a beautician. In 2000, she, Jennifer and Cody moved to Boise. In 2000, she was united in marriage to Lee Roby. They continued to make their home in Boise until the time of her death.
While in Boise, June worked as a Community Service Officer for the Nampa Police Department in Nampa, Idaho.
She was a member of the Catholic church in Boise. She and her husband played in the Citywide Orchestra in the town of Boise.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Roby, of Boise; one son, Cody Hickenbotham, of Boise; two daughters, Jennifer Roberts and her husband, Jay, of Boise, and Carmen Hickenbotham of Kalispell, Mont.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Williams and his wife, Val, of Philip, and Ron Williams of Philip; one sister, Judy Heinrich of Philip; and a host of other relatives and friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Donna Williams.
At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Boise. At a later date, a second memorial service will be held in Kalispell.
Burial will take place in the Big Horn Mountains.
