Jerri LeRaye (Cordes) Howard_______

August 10, 1982 - July 26, 2014

Jerri L. Howard, 31, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014.
Jerri was born August 10, 1982, in Pierre, S.D., the daughter of Cathy L. (Hanrahan) Erdmann.
Her elementary years were at Pierre and Haakon County schools. Jerri's young teen and high school years were in Rapid City at St. Thomas More, graduating in 2000. She also attended South Dakota State University in Brookings.
Jerri spent many years working in the banking/finance industry, where her contagious smile and knack for numbers made her a valuable employee.
Jerri had two sons, Isaiah Robert, born on June 30, 2006, and Noah Charles, born on July 2, 2010.
Jerri was united in marriage to Buck Howard on March 15, 2014, and neither rain, sleet nor snow kept Jerri from marrying the love of her life. Although the sun didn't come out right away, Jerri's smile brightened up the whole place. Jerri was so excited to join together all the boys she loved the most into a forever family.
Jerri enjoyed reading, touring the Black Hills, taking her boys on outings in the parks and trips to the family farm at Milesville for outdoor playing and four wheeling.
Grateful for having shared her life include her husband, Buck Howard; two sons, Isaiah and Noah Cordes of Rapid City; her adoptive parents, Bill and Kathy Cordes of Rapid City, and family Jesse (Iuliana) Cordes and David Cordes; one brother, John Erdmann of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Chandra (Chad) Law of Blue Springs, Mo., and Tracie Erdmann of Vermillion; her grandmother, Phyllis Hanrahan of Philip; her mother and father-in law, Donnie and Caren Howard of Hot Springs; brothers-in-law, Mike (Wanda) Irwin, Rion Howard and Craig Howard; sister-in-laws, Corinna (Geovanny) Irwin and Deana Irwin; and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jerri was preceded in death by her birth mother, Cathy Erdmann, on December 29, 2009, and a brother-in-law, Robert Irwin in March 2013.
Services were held Monday, August 4, at Kirk Funeral Home, with Pastor John McKnight, Jr. officiating.
