Irene Triolo

Memorial services were held Friday, May 12, 2006 at Springfield’s Hope Lutheran Church for Irene Triolo.

Irene Triolo of Springfield, OR, a fifty-eight year resident of Lane County, passed away April 29, 2006. She was born in Watertown, SD, on November 4, 1924, to Charles and Minnie Bowen. Irene was a graduate of Philip High School. Irene married John Triolo on June 30, 1943.

Irene worked for Chase Flowers and Gifts for 12 years. Later, she and John owned and operated the Fireside Coin Laundry in Springfield for 10 years.

John and Irene were active members of the Daisey Chainers, Boots and Sandals, and the Willamalane square dance clubs. She was a long-time member of the Willamalane Senior Center. Irene enjoyed singing with the Sharps and Flats Chorus and meeting with the Early Birds walking group. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Springfield and served on service circles and quilting groups.

John and Irene were long-term members of the Sundance Meadows Ranch east of Bend. Avid travelers, they logged many miles in their motorhome on trips throughout the United States.

She is survived by her children, Dennis, Lyn, Joel and Owen, and the joy of her life her grandchildren, Trevor and Sabrina Nash, Jacob, Brigitta Renata and Luciana Triolo along with John Hall, and her great-grandchildren, Caleb and Aria Nash, and one sister, Wanda Heeb of Philip.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed away on November 20, 2000, two brothers, Dale and Marvin Bowen, Philip, and numerous nieces and nephews.
