Henry Jerke, age 91 of Kadoka, South Dakota, formerly of Kulm, North Dakota, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Kadoka Nursing Home.
Henry H. Jerke was born April 22, 1919, at Antelope Valley School District in Kulm, North Dakota, the son of Frederick and Dorothea (Fisher) Jerke. He was a farmer throughout his life. He moved to the Kadoka Nursing Home two years ago, where he had since resided.
Survivors include a brother Marvin Jerke of Middletown, California; a sister Rose Quast of Bismark, North Dakota; sixteen nieces and nephews, which include Jean Weller and her husband Bill of Kadoka, and Joan Patterson and her husband Jerry of Kadoka.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Art and Fred Jerke; and three sisters Lorraine Miller, Violet Staddler, and Ruth Keller.
Local arrangements are with the Rush Funeral Chapel of Kadoka.
Funeral services will be held in Kulm, North Dakota under the direction of Carlsen Funeral Home.
