Golf at Meadowbrook April 5

The Philip Scotties golf team participated in the Meadowbrook Challenge Golf Tournament, Tuesday, April 5, in Rapid City.

The Philip team members shot a total score of 340. Individual scores were: Tristen Rush - 52+47=99, Trey DeJong - 68+56=124, Tate DeJong - 58+59=117, and Gavin Snook 66+60=126.

As far as the boys' teams go, the White River team took top honors with a total four-player, 18-hole score of 282. White River was headed by Skyler Bordueaux with a 45+42=87, which earned him the top individual spot. Joe Cameron, with a personal score of 49+47=96, earned an individual fourth place.

The second place team was Wall Blue with a score of 291. Member Les Williams shot a 48+45=93 to earn an individual second place. Lane Hustead earned a third place with a 44+49=93. The third place team was Newell Maroon with a 308.

The Philip Scotties will next compete Saturday, April 30, in the Western Great Plains Conference golf tournament, tentatively in Wall, starting at 9:30 a.m.
