Friends of Library Golf Tourney
Lake Waggoner Golf Course hosted the Friends of the Library Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 7.
"Turnout for this four-player scramble was a bit low, but those who were there enjoyed a great day for golf and some good food," said tournament coordinator Jeff Rieckman. "The ladies from the Friends of the Library board did a great job of organizing workers and gathering pin prizes. I am sure that this tournament would be one to grow in the future."
The top four placing teams were:
1st place - Don Ravellette, Ray Smith, Brad Haynes and Jeff Rieckman - with a total score of 51.
2nd place - Pat Stout, Corky Thorson, Jerry Carley and Charlie Ekstrum - total score of 53.
3rd place - Brant Sundall, Randy Reckling, Jim Sandstrom and Bruce Kroetch - score of 58.
4th place - Vickie Petersen, Neal Petersen, Jason Petersen and Mike Baer - score of 78.
All golfers had a chance to win $5,000 for a hole-in-one on hole #2 during the first round of the tournament. Nobody came away with the prize that was sponsored by Glenn and Dianne Parsons.
