Elementary Science Fair

With just a month remaining until this year's science extravaganza, it is time to begin wrapping up projects and polishing presentations.

A distinguished panel of judges has been selected and Carmen One Skunk has begun the registration process.

As in the past, the area's eager young scientists will be setting up their displays between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in the Philip elementary gymnasium. At 4:00 p.m., all others will be asked to leave so that the judges will be able to meet with the even numbered students to discuss their findings. At 5:00 p.m., the odd-numbered students will have their opportunity to meet with the judges to share their science discoveries.

Again, the science fair committee asks that everyone respect the students and remain clear of the gymnasium, giving them every opportunity to communicate without interruption, what they have learned.

At 6:00 p.m., the community will be invited to examine the projects. The science fair will conclude at 7:00 p.m. when Keven Morehart will conduct the awards ceremony, recognizing the students at each grade level whose projects have been found to be exceptional.
