Honorary pallbearers were her wonderful and supportive friends, the ladies of the Weston County Cowbelles, the Artful Gals Homemaker's Club and the Christ the King Women.
Donna was born to Palmer and Dorothy Pearson on January 5, 1948, in Kadoka, SD. They took her home to the ranch north of Philip, where she lived until her marriage to Marion Quick on July 1, 1972. She was blessed with the birth of two sons, Keith in 1974 and Kirby in 1978. As a family, they lived in Philip and Spearfish before settling in Newcastle, WY.
Donna's greatest joy was raising her sons, which she did mostly on her own after her husband was severely injured and no longer able to be with the family.
Donna provided child care in the community and did many other jobs to provide for her family. She was always active in her community, especially the Weston County Cowbelles, Artful Gals Homemaker's Club and the Christ the King Lutheran Church Women's group.
Donna graduated from Philip High School and was confirmed in the First Lutheran Church in Philip. She was committed to her Church and participated actively in service ministry all her life, including directing the SHARE food program in Newcastle. Her sense of humor, courage in the face of adversity, hard-working nature and ability to see the best in everyone she met, ensured she enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Keith Quick of Ponca City, OK, and Kirby Quick and his wife, Jessica, of Rapid City SD; her mother, Dorothy Pearson, Spearfish; her husband, Marion; her sisters, Karen Pearson, Rapid City, Kathy Willuweit of Whitewood and Paula (Rick) Farley; and nieces, Amber and Corrine Willuweit and their families and Josh Farley and Jared (Katy) Farley and their son, Zak.
