Dalles Craig Bruckacher

Dalles Craig Brucklacher, age 18, of Philip, died Wednesday morning, May 16, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident south of Philip.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 22, at the high school, with Pastor Mark Ford officiating.

Music was provided by Barb Bowen, prelude/postlude pianist, Skye Brucklacher, prelude flute, Philip High School Choir, accompanied by Marilyn Millage, and congregational hymns.

Ushers were J.J. Walker, Jay Baxter, Lee Dennis and Casey Seager. Pallbearers were Mathew Lawson, Dexter Livermont, Zane Fees, Lincoln Smith, Jordan Smith and Allen Hauk.

Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.

Dalles Craig Brucklacher was born August 27, 1988, in Pierre, SD, the son of Perry and Sharon (Anderson) Brucklacher. He attended school in Ft. Pierre, Pierre, and presently was a junior at Philip High School.

He was active in baseball, basketball, and his favorite sport, football, and looked forward to his senior football season. He was also a member of the "SeaBass" dodge ball team from the Philip Junior Class.

Dalles was an avid outdoorsman, going hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed helping his uncle Craig on the ranch, and other ranchers in the community during branding season. He currently was employed at Coyle's SuperValu where he always had time for a smile and chat. He liked spending time with the family dogs, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his brother Derek.

Dalles was a member of the United Church where he was confirmed. He was a kind-hearted person who liked to be around people, and always had time to help someone out.

Survivors include his father, Perry Brucklacher of Philip; his mother, Sharon Ellwein and her husband, Shane, of Pierre; his brother, Derek Brucklacher of Pierre; his grandparents, Pastor Al and Lenore Brucklacher of Philip and Robert and Sandy Anderson of Hermosa; his great-grandparents, Vern and Carrol Foland of Philip; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dalles was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dianne Anderson on April 10, 1994; his great-grandparents, Raymond and Mary Alice Deuchar; and his uncle, Paul Brucklacher, in 1972.
