Commissioners enjoy minor issues meeting
Matters of smaller concerns were reviewed by the Haakon County Commissioners during their Tuesday, May 2, meeting.
Up first was Roger Porch. He needed county official’s signatures on a plat for land he recently purchased from Gaye Odom. The commissioners applied their signatures and approved the plat. County Highway Superintendent Kenny Neville requested an approval of a waterline crossing through a gravel road for Gary Snook. The commissioners approved the request unanimously.
Quick approval was given to the Knights of Columbus for a raffle with proceeds to go towards the Sacred Heart Church’s renovation.
Meeting attendance was ap-proved for Virgil Smith for two weed meetings and one for Kevin Graber for Veterans Officer affairs.
Neville received permission to purchase three automatic door openers for the large overhead doors at the county shop. The cost for the openers is just over $2,000 for all three units.
Two fund transfers were ap-proved. An automatic transfer in regards to grant money was approved for emergency management. The highway department was approved a fund transfer from the general fund to the highway fund.
The commissioners held an approximate 10 minute executive session to discuss personnel issues. No action was taken following the session.
