Casey Nuzum, 25, of Buffalo, Wyo., formerly from Hulett and Sundance, died in a work related accident in Converse County, Wyo., on May 15, 2014.
Casey, came into this world on October 4, 1988 in Spearfish, S.D., and was raised by Justin Nuzum, Cindy Nuzum and big brother Colt Nuzum. He grew up on a ranch north of Hulett and attended Hulett High School where he graduated in 2007. After high school he went to work for various companies and at the time of death, was working for Tvedt Trucking.
Casey, also known as “Spud” to his friends and family came into life whipping and a spurring and formed many relationships throughout his life. He truly had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed life even when the road he was traveling got a little rough. He had a git-r-done attitude and a heart as big as Wyoming.
Casey had a love for the outdoors, friends, his pickup and driving truck.
Casey will leave a legacy of memories, stories, adventures and his “devil-may-care” humor with his co-workers, family and friends to remember him by.
Grateful for sharing in his life are his father, Justin Nuzum of Beulah, Wyo.; mother, Cindy Nuzum of Wall, S.D.; brother, Colt Nuzum of Belle Fourche, S.D., grandmother, Rose Nuzum of Sundance; fianceé, Sommer Esponda and a special child, Kashlea Behl; and numerous other cousins, relatives and special extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dick Nuzum; and Earl and Irma Gabriel.
Memorial services for Casey will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Greater Hulett Community Center in Hulett.
A memorial has been established in Casey’s name at Sundance State Bank, PO Box 950, Sundance, WY 82729.
Inurnment will take place at a later time.
