Carley takes second in Bad River Open Golf

The annual Bad River Open golf tournament at Lake Waggoner Golf Course was held on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22.

Saturday was the qualifying round of 18 holes to determine placement of players on one of the three flights. Sunday included the main 18-hole competition as well as a long drive contest.

In the championship flight, Mike Prue earned first place with a Sunday 18-hole score of 134. Philip's Dak Carley took second place with a gross score of 144. Cory Jensen shot 145 for third place and Brad Haynes earned fourth place with a 149. D.J. Rush and Joe Prue tied with a 158. Kieth Gesinger shot a 162 and Bob Hopkins ended with 164.

In the first flight, Jeremy Hopkins took first place with a day's score of 150. Dean Schulz earned second with 162. Third went to Zondo Swalley with a 164 and fourth went to Bob Mendoza with a 167. Jesse Mendoza had a 168. Josh Spiering and Don Ravellette tied with 169. Mark Oetken ended with a 172.

The second flight was won by Luke Weber who scored a 162. Conrad Kjerstad shot 162 for second place. Bob Thorson's 168 earned him third place. Landon Peterson took fourth with a 172. Butch Beach had a 173, Robert Long a 174, Bernie LaPlante a 177, JR LaPlante a 178, Glenn Parsons a 179 and Luke Lunderman a 184.
