Belva K. Stone

Belva K. Stone, age 58 of Kadoka, SD, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Presbyterian Church in Kadoka, with Pastor Gary McCubbin officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour preceding the services at the church.

Music will be provided by Grace DeVries, pianist. Ushers are Tony Gould and Mike Coller. Pallbearers are Erik, Lee, Kelly, Bobby and Scott Crazybear, Keenan Pickett, Clayton and Tyrell Herbaugh.

Interment will be the Kadoka Cemetery.

Belva K. Crazybear was born March 8, 1952, in Belvidere, SD, the daughter of Isaac and Alvina (Ghost) Crazybear. She grew up in the Okaton-Belvidere area, where she received her education.

She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Stone on July 17, 1993, in Belvidere. She continued to work at the Kadoka Care Center and later she worked at the Super 8 Motel until health reasons forced her retirement.

Belva enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, Kadoka; two sons, David and Nathan Dale, Kadoka; two daughters, Stefanie Garnette and her husband, Shawn, Rapid City, and Briana Stone, Kadoka; five grandchildren, Tanner, Kaylee and Brittnie Garnette, and Allisia and Elleyah Wright; one brother, Alvis Crazybear, Denver, CO; four sisters, Julia Herbaugh, Murdo, Lucy Crazybear, Murdo, Melva Crazybear, Martin, and Bessie Dress, Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Belva was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Larry Crazybear; and two half-sisters, Myrna and Eleanor.

A memorial is established.
