Funeral services were held August 31, 2010, for Adam Armando Mackintosh, 34, of Denver, Colo., who died Wednesday, August 25th in a tragic accident. Although taken too soon, he lived his life to the fullest and leaves us with laughter, and his memory will shine through the legacy he's left behind.
Adam loved nature from birth and treasured anything that involved the outdoors. Camping, fishing, sailing; or just spending time in the backyard with family and friends. He was a self proclaimed musician and comedian and will be most remembered by his infectious smile and ability to make everyone laugh. To know Adam was to love him, and he truly was the life of the party. Each New Year's Eve was especially festive, complete with fireworks and a ball drop; and in true Adam style ... a marriage proposal.
Born October 7, 1975, Adam was raised in Littleton, Colo., and graduated from Chatfield Senior High School in 1993. He immediately joined the family business with his father. His passion for nature eventually took over and he joined Swingle Tree Company and then realized his dream of becoming a certified arborist and establishing Adams Tree Service in 2004, offering the perfect combination of nature and people.
Above all, Adam loved his family. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Melanie Formanek, and three beautiful children who love their papa, son Adison, 2, and twin daughters, Claire and Sophia, 1; as well as his parents, Arturo and Theresa Mackintosh, two brothers, three sisters, grandmother Pauline Arellano, all of Denver; in-laws, Trudy Kennedy of Rapid City, Janie Kennedy and Dusty Formanek of Philip and Chad and Melinda Formanek of Colstrip, Mont.
The "Adam Mackintosh Memorial Fund" has been established for the children. Condolences may be sent to 1523 S. Lincoln St., Denver, CO 80210.
