2007 Quad-County Relay For Life to be in Wall

Anyone who has stepped foot onto a track at a Relay For Life has felt the impact that a single event can have on a community. The Quad-County Relay For Life originated in Philip, July 2003. The annual relay event has also been hosted by the communities of Wall and Kadoka. Since its inception, the four counties (Haakon, Jackson, Jones and East Pennington) have united in the cause to eliminate cancer. Over $200,000 has been raised by these communities.

The overnight camp-out is filled with activities, entertainment, fun and food; making this an enjoyable evening for every age group. Highlights include survivorship recognition and a luminary program. Survivors are honored and celebrated via special activities, including a heartwarming opening survivors lap. During the luminary program the luminary bags are lit. The luminaries, placed around the track are dedicated in memory of, or in honor of, someone who has been touched by cancer. It is no doubt that this emotional program truly highlights the importance of fighting cancer.

The 2007 Quad-County Relay will be held in Wall on September 15th. The relay committee members would like to invite all previous teams and new participants to attend a brief informational meeting to be held in your community:
