Tressa Gabriel, age 90, of Philip, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.
Tressa Belle Coleman was born October 24, 1922, in Woodbine, Iowa, the daughter of Orrin Wesley and Goldia Belle (Thomas) Coleman. She lived near Pisgah, Iowa with her parents and older sister Erma, until they left their home in the Loess Hills to move to Haakon County Northwest of Philip, South Dakota, at the age of eight years. They traveled at 45 mph in the Model T Ford while their personal belongings and livestock were shipped to Cottonwood, South Dakota, on the train.

Pearl Lurz, age 99, of Wall, S.D., died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Philip Nursing Home.
Pearl Carol (Williams) Lurz was born July 9, 1913, on a ranch near Belvidere, the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Percy) Williams. She grew up on a ranch north of Wall in her grandparents’ home, Al and Polly Percy. She attended country school and later attended high school with her sister Muril in Wall.

Linda Marie Hook, age 76, of Wall, S.D., died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City.
Linda Marie Feller was born on September 23, 1936, in Rapid City, the daughter of Nicholas and Elsie (Bloom) Feller. She was the second oldest of seven children, Nicholas, Robert, Kathy, Marilyn, James and Michael.
Linda was raised in Quinn and graduated from Quinn High School. After graduation she attended Black Hills College where she attained her teacher's certificate. She taught for two years at the Lake Hill School north of Wall.

Glenn Vande Garde, age 84, of Kadoka, S.D., formerly of Hull, Iowa, passed away on December 27, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Center in Canton, S.D.
Services were held Monday, December 31, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Hull. The Rev. Robert Gordon officiated.
Interment was at the church cemetery.

Wesley R. Davis passed into the arms of his Savior Friday, December 28, 2012, at Fort Meade VA Medical Center near Sturgis, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 23, 1954, to H. A. "Foo" and Esther (Eisenbraun) Davis. He was baptized December 22, 1954, at the Eugene Miller home by the Reverend Holman Cowherd. He confirmed his faith in Jesus on May 25, 1969, by the Reverend Edwin Williams.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph “Joe” A. Reisenauer, age 89, of Bismarck, formerly of Mott and Lemmon was held at 10:00am MT on Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Mott. Fr. Charles Zins will officiate, burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon.
Visitation was on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon with at Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.
Serving as casketbearers are Joe’s Grand and Great Grandchildren.

Mearl E. Blosmo, 96, Spearfish, SD passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 22, 2012 with his loving wife of 67 years, Lois, at his side.

Damon Lee Bohnet, 30, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home in Rapid City, South Dakota.
