Joyce F. Dykema, age 79 of Murdo, S.D., died October 3, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Pierre.
Joyce Finck was born to Waldo and Clara (Jordan) Finck on February 12, 1933, in Okaton.
She married Herman “Boyd” Dykema on November 27, 1953, and to this union three daughters were born, Sherry, Cindy and Lora.

The funeral service for Alice Hall, age 90 of Meadow, was held Friday, September 28, 2012, at the Bison Presbyterian Church. Pastor Florence Hoff officiated with burial in the Chance Cemetery.
Alice passed away Saturday, September 22, at the Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs, Texas. A memorial has been established to the Bison Presbyterian Church or Legacy Hospice, 301 Gilmer, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.

After waiting for around two hours at the BHSU campus for the latecomers to arrive, cheers met the three buses of the returning soldiers of the National Guard 842nd Engineering Companywhen they pulled into the parking lot last Thursday. Tears of joy and smiles overflowed when families and friends greeted the soldiers.
Around 1500 family, friends and community members joined the soldiers for a barbecue beef sandwich dinner on the football field with much visiting taking place.

Cordavee M. Heupel, 73, died Saturday, September 22, 2012, at her home.
Visitation was from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with a rosary service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services was at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 27, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius cemetery.

Memorial services for Dorothy Beld, age 85, of Hettinger, North Dakota formerly of Lodgepole, South Dakota, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Hettinger, ND. Pastor Paul Lint will officiate with a private family burial taking place prior to the service.

Annette M. McKune, age 70 of Hettinger, N.D., formerly of Bismarck, passed away on Monday evening, September 24, 2012 at Western Horizon Care Center in Hettinger.
The Rosary Service was held at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lemmon. Fr. Tony Grossenburg will officiate with inurnment in Gallaway Cemetery at Meadow.

Mary P. Rosheim, age 86, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Avera Flandreau Medical Center, Flandreau, S.D.
Mary was born July 24, 1926 at Flandreau to Harry and Leona (Fargen) Parsley. She graduated from Egan High School in 1944 and then received her teaching certificate from Madison Normal.

Dorothy Seidler, age 87, of Midland, S.D., died October 2, 2012, at the Maryhouse in Pierre.
Dorothy M. Dennis was born October 10, 1924, in Redfield, the daughter of Archie “Tom” and Marie (Fish) Dennis. Dorothy’s mother died soon after Dorothy was born. Grandparents Jess and Kate Dennis brought Dorothy to their home north of Midland when she was five days old and she continued to live with them, attending Liberty Country School for five years.

Marcus Joseph Peterson, age 29 of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away at home from an apparent heart attack on September 24, 2012.
Marcus was born on December 18, 1982, to Michael and Julie (Forster) Peterson in Philip. He attended Grandview Elementary School in Rapid City. In 2001, Marcus graduated from Sturgis Brown High School. In 2004, he moved to Sioux Falls and enrolled at Southeast Technical Institute. He graduated in 2006 from the Network Administrator Program.

Virginia Burns, age 95 of Philip, S.D., died Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.
