December 19th

Patricia "Pat" Kolb

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bison. Fr. Tony Grossenburg officiated. Burial was at 3:00 p.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis Tuesday afternoon.


December 5th

Abbie Dugan

Abbie Dugan passed away December 2, 2012, of Alzheimer’s. She was born in Murdo, South Dakota on January 19, 1931. She was a remarkably talented woman and had numerous hobbies. Her devotion to her children, strong will and compassion made her a perfect mother and friend. She will be thought of and missed every day. She is survived by her children, Linda Dugan, Teri Brannan, Kent (Spring) Dugan, Kelly Dugan, Pat (Melinda) Dugan, granddaughter Robyn (Kurt) Brannan and great-grandson Chase Brannan.


Eunice M. Meyer

Eunice M. Meyer, 100, Yuma, AZ and formerly of South Dakota, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence in Yuma.
Committal services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at the cemetery in Murdo, SD, with Pastor Rick Hazen officiating.
Survivors include her brother Gordon Voss, Phoenix City, AL; one daughter Beverly Byrd, Yuma; one son, Jim Meyer, Yuma, AZ; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis in Charge of Arrangements.


Helen M. Priest

The Mass of Christian Burial for Helen M. Priest, age 83 of Lemmon will be held at 11:00 a.m. MT Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lemmon. Fr. Tony Grossenburg and Deacon Bill Dustman will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery at Lemmon.
A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
A memorial has been established to The Koinonia, Tec Family, and the Prayer Blanket Ministry.


Curtis Faber

Services for Curtis Faber will be on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo at 2:00 p.m. with coffee and cookies to follow.Curtis Dean Faber, 42, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, from heart and diabetes complications.


Jesse Tollakson

Jesse Tollakson, of Dawson, Minn., died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 29.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with Rev. Kendall Stelter officiating and interment was at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday, November 25, at Hanson and Dahl Funeral Home.


November 21st

Kathy (BJ) Woll

Kathy (BJ) Woll, 52, of Hurdsfield died Friday, November 16, 2012 near Hurdsfield, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Bowdon on Friday November 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey, North Dakota.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
BJ was born February 4, 1960 in Spokane, Washington. She was the youngest of three children born to Merlin and Jo (Galiz) White.


Ingrid H. Gebhart

Funeral services for Ingrid H. Gebhart, age 88, of Meadow, South Dakota will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Indian Creek Lutheran Church near Meadow, SD. Rev. Bob Edwards will officiate with burial in the Chance Cemetery.
Ingrid passed away on Saturday evening, November 17, 2012 at the Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon, South Dakota with her family at her side.


Lois Mae Gillis Zaugg

Lois Mae Gillis Zaugg was born August 23, 1936, to Harold and Cora (Peterson) Gillis at Montevideo, Minn. She attended Montevideo School, graduated from high school in 1954, attended Crookston School of Practical Nursing, Crookston, Minn., and graduated in 1955, then attended University of Minnesota for one year.
Lois worked as a licensed practical nurse from 1955-1960 at Montevideo Hospital, at Northern Pacific Railroad Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota, University of Minnesota Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn.


Anton "Tony" Lebeda

Anton (Tony) Lebeda, 85, of Presho, passed away Friday, November 9 at Maryhouse Nursing Care Center in Pierre.
Anton was born June 14, 1927 in Murdo, SD to Thomas and Sophia (Kroupa) Lebeda. He grew up in Murdo where he attended school. In 1944 he joined the Army and served until 1946.
On December 9, 1955 he was united in marriage to Margaret Mitchell in Pierre. Tony worked as a delivery truck driver, miner and farmhand. He was a member of the American Legion.
Tony enjoyed working on lawn mowers, and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
