Lucille Brunsch, age 93, Norris, S.D., went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 5, 2013, at her home west of Norris.

Connie O’Bryan__________________

Connie O’Bryan, age 63, of Anaheim, Calif., formerly of Murdo, S.D., died August 20, 2013, in Anaheim.
Connie Jackson was born in 1950, in Philip, the daughter of Bill and Alice (Dietrich) Jackson. She grew up and received her education in Murdo, graduating from Murdo High School in 1968. She then moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where she married David Ching, and to this union were born three sons.
Connie worked for an insurance firm for many years until her health forced her retirement in July of 2013.

Lila M. Ames_________________________________

Lila M. Ames, age 79, Green Bay, Wis., area resident, died peacefully Thursday, September 5, 2013, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 28, 1933, in Philip, S.D., to Clinton and Florence (Eymer) Neville.
Lila grew up on her father’s ranch and graduated from Philip High School, Class of 1951.

Dr. Harry W. Kunkle____________________________

Dr. Harry William Kunkle, 92, of Altoona and Des Moines, Iowa, died July 2, 2013.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Isabel (Peterson), in 1996. He is survived by his sister and best friend, Edythe Cavanaugh of Lohrville; children Marie Kunkle-Nagel (Steven) of Altoona, John (Ellen) of La Grange, Ill., Bob (Bev Schmitt) of Boone, and Ted (Ruth) of Des Moines. He will be deeply missed by eight loving grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends and relatives.

Deloris “Dobbie” Foster___________________________

Deloris “Dobbie” Foster, age 92, of Wall, S.D., died Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Clarkson Health Care Center in Rapid City.
Deloris F. Crown was born February 25, 1921, along with her twin sister, Doris, the daughters of Orrin and Maggie (Wetzel) Crown. She grew up in the Wall area, where she attended rural school before attending Wall High School, graduating in 1938. After graduation, she worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company.

Karla McLaren_________________________________

Karla McLaren, age 55, of Interior, S.D., died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Karla K. Saunders was born April 20, 1958 in Kadoka, the daughter of Elwin and Carol (Lange) Saunders. She grew up and received her education in Wall. After her education, she did various jobs in the Wall area.

Patrick M. Eagle Chasing__________________________

Funeral services for Pat Eagle Chasing, Sr., 67, of Eagle Butte, will be Friday, Sept 6 at 10:00 AM, MDT, at the Lakota Cultural Center, Eagle Butte. Burial follows at 3:00 PM Friday at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis. Meet at the 4-mile Jct. at 4:00 PM Thursday to process to the cultural center for wake services beginning at 7:00 PM. Patrick entered the spirit world August 27, 2013 in Eagle Butte. Patrick Maurice Eagle Chasing Sr. was born on July 9th, 1946 to Narcisse and Bernice (Condon) Eagle Chasing in Ft. Yates, ND. He returned to the Spirit World on August 26, 2013.

Tom Mason_________________________

Funeral services for Tom Mason, age 96, longtime Faith, SD area rancher were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Faith Community Center in Faith, SD with Pastor Connie Eichinger officiating. Burial followed at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD. Military Honors will be afforded by the Robert O'Shea American Legion Post #106 and the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard.
Country music was provided by Butch Samuelson and Terri Kissack.

Thelma Rada_________________________

Thelma Rada, age 97, of White River, South Dakota, died Monday, August 5, 2013, at the Coteau des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton.
Thelma Marguerite Crume was born March 29, 1916 in Mylo, (Rolette County) North Dakota to John and Hazel (Pickett) Crume. On August 5, 2013 she rode home, on horseback no doubt.
In October 1919 Thelma, with her parents and her sister, Viola, left Mylo, North Dakota for White River, South Dakota in a wagon. She could even recall a few incidents that happened during that almost year long trip.

Marvin R. Van_________________________________

Marvin R. Van, 71, of Lincoln, Neb., died July 27, 2013 surrounded by his family.
He was born April 9, 1942 in Geddes, S.D., to Frank and Irene (Hildebrant) VanSchoonhoven.
Marvin served in the U.S. Army and graduated in 1968 from the University of South Dakota with a Broadcasting, Speech, and Journalism Degree. In his later years, he was the owner of Vantage Crafts and enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, gardening, and painting.
