Henry Jerke

Henry Jerke, age 91 of Kadoka, South Dakota, formerly of Kulm, North Dakota, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Kadoka Nursing Home.

Henry H. Jerke was born April 22, 1919, at Antelope Valley School District in Kulm, North Dakota, the son of Frederick and Dorothea (Fisher) Jerke. He was a farmer throughout his life.


Robert F. "Bob" Eisenbraun

Robert F. "Bob" Eisenbraun, age 77 of Kadoka, South Dakota, died January 2, 2011, at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.

Robert F. "Bob" Eisenbraun was born December 30, 1933, in Creighton, South Dakota, the son of Alexander and Hertha "Hattie" (Kapfenstein) Eisenbraun. His father died when Robert was two and a half years old and he and his brothers, sisters, and mother lived in Delmont before moving to a farm-ranch east of Wanblee. He grew up and received his elementary education in the Shade Hill Rural School and then attended Kadoka High School.


Clarence "Smokey" Petoske

Clarence "Smokey" Petoske, age 93 of Midland, South Dakota, died January 2, 2011, at the Kadoka Nursing Home.

Clarence E. Petoske was born April 5, 1917, at Capa, South Dakota, the son of Peter and Addie (Thomas) Petoske. He attended the Rolling Green grade school at Stanley County and high school at Capa and Midland, graduating in 1937.

Clarence entered the United States Army on July 15, 1942, at Ft. Snelling, Minnesota. While in the Army, he married Arline Marie Nelson on November 2, 1944, at Durham, North Carolina.
