Roger Duane Holst

Roger Duane Holst, age 83, formerly of Midland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Silver Stone Home, Denton, Texas.

He was born on July 23, 1927, in Vale, S.D., to Ernest and Dora (Trigg) Holst.

He married M. Alma (Rose) Holst on June 21, 1951, in Rapid City.

Roger was a veteran of World War II and was enlisted from 1945 to 1946. He was sent from Los Angeles via Hawaii to China where he relieved other Marines who were returning home after the war.

Roger attended Vale High School and graduated in 1945. Later he took advantage of the G.I.


Thomas Franklin "Tom" Delahoyde

Thomas Franklin "Tom" Delahoyde 72, of Spearfish passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 29, 2010.

Funeral sevices were held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. A memorial has been established to Spearfish Food Pantry and the SD Lion's Club Eye Bank.

Tom was born on August 2, 1938, in Merna, NE. He was the fourth of twelve children, and the first son born to Val and Gertrude (Manning) Delahoyde.

The family resided in Lead, SD. Tom attended all his school years in Lead, graduating in 1956 from LHS.
