Badlands Ranch Rodeo

Now in its second year, KCBA will be hosting the Badlands Ranch Rodeo during the Kadoka High School alumni weekend celebration.

The rodeo will get underway on Saturday, June 26th at 1:00 p.m. at the Kadoka Rodeo Arena.

KCBA Co-president Donna Enders has announced that the sign-up deadline for rodeo entry is Friday, June 25th.

Kirley Junior Shooters heading to Nationals

The Kirley Junior Shooters took second place at the National Guard match in Fort Pierre on April 17th with a score of 2329 and 59 center shots to qualify them for the International BB Gun Championship Match in Bowling Green, KY, July 2nd through the 4th.

Kassy Norman took second place over all with an aggregate of 477.10. Nick Neuhauser placed fourth with a 476.17, John Willoughby was eighth with 471.14, Nick Roseth was 14th with 460.10 and Austin Briggs finished with a 445.08.

The team’s alternate in the ten and 11-year-old division was Halley Hand who shot a 444.11.

Teeners split win/loss at Belle Fourche

The Philip Teeners (the Red Dogs) traveled to Belle Fourche Saturday to play in a doubleheader against Belle Fourche and Bowman, ND.

In game one, Philip got off to a slow start and found themselves down 11-0 after three innings. In the fourth, Philip put four runs on the board. Belle answered with two more runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Richard G. "Dick" Kjerstad

Richard G. "Dick" Kjerstad, age 61, of Wall, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19, at the Wall High School gym with Pastor Jim Cissell officiating.

Music was provided by Dawna Rae Tsitrian, pianist, and congregational hymns. Speakers were Lyndell Peterson, former Pennington Co.
